    1、Unit 4 Making the news 第一部分About the topic and the structures单元话题和结构本单元的话题是 Making the news/ 创造新闻,介绍了“新闻”产业的运作过程。单元句法项目是:倒装句。 教学设计在单元课时划分上与课本保持一致,即“阅读课、知识课、运用课三课时/三课型划分” 。但在实际教学过程中,我们建议教师依据学生基础、教学条件、学校安排的因素,对课本、对教学设计重新划分课时、裁剪、拼接使用我们提供的材料,以便“物尽所用” ,达到最佳教学效果。教师也可以参照我们提出的“实际教学过程课时划分建议”进行教学。Period 1Read

    2、ing 阅读课Warming Up 部分教师可以选择 Warming up by discussing (Think like a reporter) ,Warming up by reading a piece of news in English 或者Warming up by talking about the term “news“ itself 的导入形式激发背景知识、为其后的阅读作好词语、结构和心理的准备。教师可补充:新闻,是以报纸、电视、广播节目或互联网的形式对最新事件进行的报道和传播。涵盖范围包括地方、全国以及全世界。新闻报道有自己特定的写作格式。大多数新闻都由记者调查和报道,

    3、通常经通讯社传播。Pre-reading 以 going over expressions for news making 形式进行读前活动。补充:记者主要在报社、电视台、广播电台、杂志社、通讯社等机构工作。网络出现之后,也有部分记者替网络媒体(网络报)或专业网站工作。许多政府机关、社团内,也有编制内的记者。还有不在固定媒体工作的记者,一般称为自由撰稿或自由记者 ,接受媒体委讬或靠投稿维持生计。记者的表现方式可以分为报导、专题、调查采访、专访、精确报导等等。但记者的稿件、照片、影带等,通常还要经过编辑台的处理。 Reading 是篇对话体记叙文,记叙了“我”在“中国日报”第一份工作的经历。应当

    4、引导学生从结构和意义方面读懂课文、摘记要点。补充“记者的路线(Beat) ”:在综合性的媒体当中,记者依照个人背景、专业教育、机运等,会分为下面几种路线,但实际上随媒体的不同,有时候路线可以非常精细。要闻, 政治政党,地方市政,教育科学,司法警政,消费,生活家庭,影剧,娱乐,艺文,体育,经济消息,财经产业,国际,摄影。Period 2Learning about language 知识课Learning about language 第一部分是词法训练,强化学生对本单元重点词汇、短语的掌握和实用;第二部分是句法训练,进一步强化学生对英语“倒装句”的理解和运用。Period 3Using lan

    5、guage运用课Using language 重点是围绕“新闻”的“听、说、写” ;“听、说”部分依然是围绕“记者工作”展开,并鼓励学生活用本单元所学词语、结构和话题。实际教学过程课时划分建议Period 1 将 Warming Up、 Pre-reading、Reading 和 Comprehending 整合在一起上一节“阅读课” 。Period 2 将 Learning about language 和 Workbook 中的 USING WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS、USING STRUCTURES 整合在一起上一节“语言知识课” 。Period 3 将 Using la

    6、nguage 设计为一节包括听说读写单项技能或组合技能训练的“综合技能课(一) ”。Period 4 将 Workbook 的 READING AND LISTENING 和 TALKING 整合在一起上一节“听说课” 。Period 5 将 Workbook 的 LISTENING TASK、READING AND WRITING TASK和 SPEAKING TASK 整合为一节“综合技能课(二) ”。第二部分教学资源说明Section 1Background 背景围绕单元话题“创造新闻”我们提供了若干实用性背景材料。这些材料既可以作为教师教学参考材料为教师所用,也可以直接或改写、重组后作
